MORRISON Entertainment una vez más apuesta por realizar un concierto de máxima calidad, así como ya lo demostró en años anteriores.Como muchos recordaran, hace dos años se realizó la primera edición del MORRISON FEST , festival que congregó a un gran número de personas y el pasado 8 de septiembre del 2008 mostró en su Segunda Edición toda la potencia y calidad de uno de los mejores festivales que presento a 8 de las mejores bandas del medio. Para cerrar el dicho evento, estuvo presente, desde Mexicali, Baja California, el grupo mexicano “INSITE “,el cual demostró toda su fuerza y talento musical para con el gran público que estuvo presente aquella noche. Este año, en el mes de febrero, MORRISON Entertainment realizará la Tercera Edición de este festival. En el invierno del 2004, Jorge, bajista de Serial Asesino en ese entonces, decide hacer un proyecto paralelo distinto a lo que estaba acostumbrado. La idea de hacer algo melódico y tocar guitarra iba creciendo con el pasar del tiempo, entonces decide contactar a unos amigos: Gaby -guitarrista de Grima- y James, bajista y amigo de la infancia proveniente de un grupo de punk melódico. En ese momento se toma como género base el emo. James le propone a Jorge la incorporación de Ernesto, baterista de su ex banda que se encontraba haciendo rock comercial por el momento, sin embargo, acepto rápidamente ya que el estilo se haba convertido en uno de sus géneros preferidos.La banda solo necesitaba un vocalista, tena que ser alguien que pudiese gritar y cantar sin problemas, alguien con actitud, entonces jorge se pone en contacto con Carlos: ex vocalista de la desaparecida banda Homen, quien, luego de escuchar una grabación, decidio retomar la música. Al parecer la banda estaba completa, pero luego de unos meses Gaby tuvo que retirarse por motivos de tiempo.Como remplazo de Gaby se penso en Kervin - guitarrista y tercer integrante de la banda que tuvieron James y Ernesto, sus influencias Emo, punk y metal parecen encajar bien con los intereses de la banda, sin embargo, para fines del 2005 debió salir por diversos motivos. Durante los primeros meses del 2006 se pensó en algunos guitarristas integrantes y con la llegada de mayo se le pide a Carlos - guitarrista de EIANA ke habia apoyado a la banda en 2 conciertos, que forme parte de KENDALL, Luego de unos meses, la bansa sufrio un gran cambio,Javier y Josue pasarain a ser el nuevo guitarrista y el nuevo batero.

Luego de la injusta cancelación de Rock en el Parque X programado para el día 12 de Enero por parte de la municipalidad de San Borja , trabajamos arduamente estos días para programar nuevamente el festival lo antes posible para cumplir con las expectativas que la gente había depositado en el festival.
Rock en el Parque X se realizará este sábado 19 de Enero en el Estadio del colegio Bartolomé Herrera ubicado en la Av. La marina cdra. 12.
Las entradas ya adquiridas tienen validez para esta nueva fecha. Las preventas están agotadas por lo que solo habrá una cantidad limitada disponible en la puerta del Festival a S/.19.
Diazepunk y Turbopotamos son las novedades del cambio de fecha por que como todos saben Mark de Asmereir tuvo que regresar a San Francisco el día ayer martes por lo que no podremos contar con ellos, asimismo Ni voz ni voto tampoco se podrá presentar por compromisos que tienen para esta nueva fecha.
Al público que por distintos motivos no pueda o desee asistir habiendo comprado preventa puede inscribirse el día miércoles 16 de enero y Jueves 17 de 5 a 9 p.m. llevando su entrada y un documento de identidad a Galerías Brasil tda. 78B segundo piso, cdra. 12 de la Av. Brasil para la posterior devolución la semana entrante. Este trámite es estrictamente personal.Les comentamos también que estamos contratando camiones cisterna que se encargaran del riego del suelo del estadio para que todos podamos disfrutar del festival sin mayores molestias.

El guitarrista de la banda de origen estadounidense llamada Hawthorne Heights, Casey Calvert , falleció el pasado sábado en el autocar del grupo, el cual estaba aparcado a la salida de la sala de conciertos en Washington.Por el momento, las causas de su muerte no están del todo claras, ya que se espera que la policía comunique los datos seguidamente después de la autopsia; pero igualmente se rumorea que Casey Calvert perdió la vida durmiendo.Por su parte, los demás integrantes de la banda ofrecieron un comunicado de prensa mencionando que Calvert no había hecho ni tomado nada ilegal. Dicen posible causa de su muerte sería que Casey sufría de asma. Vaya a saber lo que habrá sucedido.

Hello good people.Once again we apologize for the lapse in communication and the downtime on the website. Big things have been happening in our world, and we now have some great news. We're extremely stoked to announce that Story of the Year has an amazing new home with Epitaph Records. At this point in our career, with all the problems the music business if facing, we felt that moving to an independent label was the best way to keep the music pure and true, because that's really all that matters. It will definitely prove to be a much more creative and positive environment for our band. We've also finally started recording our new record. For the first time we've decided to work with more than one producer. We're back together with our good friend John Feldmann for a few songs, and working with an amazing dude named Elvis Baskette on the rest. It's going to be a rad experience. We'll be back in full swing with video diaries, studio pics, and blogs, so keep up to date at our MySpace and website. Since their inception just three years ago, gale-force Welsh rockers Funeral For A Friend have experienced more extraordinary highs and lows than most people will go though in their entire existence.In their native UK, the band have been nothing less than a phenomenon, scoring three Top 20 singles, a gold-certified debut album, headlining the second stage of the world famous Reading/Leeds Festival and winning Kerrang!'s Best Newcomer award. Here in the States, the band has received reams of critical praise while growing their ever-increasing fanbase via tours alongside such like-minded outfits as Linkin Park, Taking Back Sunday, Coheed & Cambria, From Autumn To Ashes and Atreyu. Following on the heels of 2003's breakthrough label debut, "CASUALLY DRESSED & DEEP IN CONVERSATION," Funeral For A Friend have carefully cast a sound by turns heavier and softer than before, with the band's dual impulses for metallic riffage and melodic bloom no longer at odds with each other."We wanted to make a record that had no sense of compromise," adds guitarist Kris Coombs-Roberts. "Something people would either really love or hate, that no one would feel "wishy-washy" about. There's no middle ground."For this purpose, the band left their native South Wales for Seattle, Washington, where they lived for two months recording "HOURS" with renowned hard rock producer Terry Date (famed for his work with Soundgarden, Pantera and Deftones among others). The two months of sessions working at both the legendary Bad Animals studio, and Pearl Jam's own, personally built studio was the longest the band had stayed in one place for as long as they could remember. They put down roots as deep as they could, digging inside of themselves for the music that would make up "HOURS.""To be honest, we didn't see all that much of Seattle," drummer Ryan Richards notes. "We were so excited about the process of making the record, we stayed in the studios most days and nights.""We knew we had to make a landmark record," adds bassist Gareth Davies. "It had to be better than anything we'd done before."While the band was rightly proud of the acclaimed "CASUALLY DRESSED & DEEP IN CONVERSATION," they nonetheless viewed it as somewhat compromised, compiling previously released singles and only a handful of new tracks. They were determined that "HOURS" would be a proper album of pace, structure, mood and sentiment. It would reflect the distance Funeral For A Friend had come as both musicians and as songwriters. The bludgeoning hardcore assault was finessed, strengthened; the melodies were stronger, stickier, nagging and unforgettable. Matt Davies' lyric sheet rang the changes further: deeper, darker, more mature, his words navigating the same emotional icebergs he and the band had encountered over the past year."The album is all about the idea that nobody's perfect, "he reflects, â€œthat perfection doesn't exist. That nothing is that well-built."Though Funeral For A Friend is a true group, stronger than the sum of their parts, it was Matt in particular who felt the pressures of the preceding months. As the group's focal point, he became the fulcrum and sustained the deepest wounds, learned the hardest lessons, on behalf of the band. There were points where his voice suffered, where his health as a whole suffered. There was a stay in the hospital."My body was shutting down," Davies recalls. "was skeletal, fucked up. I thought, "All this pain, should I just go away? Should I just croak it?" But then I realized I've got a lot of things to look forward to. I've got to get better, get my ass moving!"Those feelings inform "HOURS," from its deeply personal lyrics to its emotionally charged sonic power. While "Monster's Ball" and "At The End Of Nothing" are fraught with a ferocious ferocity that is, quite frankly, breathtaking in its force and fervor, songs like "Recovery" and "Hospitality" showcase the band's melodic depth and mounting maturity. Working with the skilled Terry Date enabled FFAF to capture their gifts for multi-faceted songcraft while polishing the diamond-precise crunch of their pulverizing live performances."People are going that the emo-screamo tag that was put on us really doesn't fit," points out guitarist Darran Smith. "That's not what we are. We're a rock band, and with the diversity of this album, we show that there are a lot more strings to our bow."
